Express Scripts, a large pharmacy-benefits manager, needed a better way to support its distributed IS organization as it rolled out new CMMi-compliant processes. With project team members spread across multiple locations and varying levels of project management experience, the company needed a user-friendly project portfolio management solution that would support collaboration, communication, and the process pilot. WorkOtter provided a cloud-based PPM solution to meet that need.

WorkOtter implemented a hosted environment in two weeks, giving Express Scripts a platform for training and a successful launch, with full integration to Microsoft Project and an easy learning curve for users. WorkOtter hosted the solution for three months during the training and production pilot for 300 users, and Express Scripts later scaled to its own environment supporting 670 project managers and more than 7,100 users across the US and Canada with no performance issues.
