NEX needed to integrate GitHub repository data into its application but wanted to avoid the significant overhead and complexity of building and maintaining its own OAuth flow implementation, including handling credential storage and token refresh logic. They turned to WorkOS and its Pipes product to solve this challenge.

WorkOS implemented its Pipes solution, which provides a pre-built widget for users to connect their GitHub accounts. This allowed NEX's backend to simply request a fresh, usable access token from WorkOS whenever it needed to call the GitHub API, completely eliminating the need for NEX to manage OAuth plumbing. The result was a seamless integration that provided reliable access to user data without NEX having to build or maintain any of the underlying authentication infrastructure.
