Case Study: Cloudflare achieves faster edge AI deployment with WorkOS

A WorkOS Case Study

Preview of the Cloudflare Case Study

Cloudflare deploys AI at the edge in under 200ms with WorkOS

Cloudflare, a provider of cloud services, faced the common AI infrastructure challenges of unpredictable traffic spikes, high global latency, and the complexity of managing GPU resources for its generative AI applications. To overcome these hurdles, Cloudflare worked with WorkOS to utilize the Cloudflare Workers platform, a serverless edge computing solution.

The solution involved implementing a Cloudflare Worker with the Workers AI binding, which provided direct access to GPU-accelerated models like Llama-2. This allowed Cloudflare to deploy a lightweight, globally-distributed text generator that reduced latency by running AI inference closer to end-users. The serverless architecture offered by WorkOS eliminated the need for Cloudflare to manage underlying infrastructure, leading to automatic scaling, improved resource utilization, and a simplified deployment process.
