A WorkJam Case Study
Aramark was responsible for food and hospitality at five sold-out Garth Brooks concerts at Croke Park (80,000 seats) in September 2022 and faced an urgent frontline staffing challenge: roughly 1,000 shifts per night (≈3,000 shifts total) largely reliant on casual, seasonal workers. To meet demand, Aramark partnered with WorkJam and deployed WorkJam’s digital frontline workplace—including the mobile app, communications tools, employee self‑service and the Open Shift Marketplace.
WorkJam published open shifts eight weeks ahead, communicated directly to ~750 casual staff and Sports & Entertainment team members, and enabled self-scheduling and shift pickup. As a result, all ~3,000 open shifts were filled before the concerts, Aramark operated 100% with its own employees (no agency support), shared operating procedures and a dedicated Garth Brooks channel via WorkJam, and achieved improved operational efficiency and employee experience.
