A Workiva Case Study
Pinnacle Entertainment, a Las Vegas–based owner and operator of casinos and hospitality properties, faced a costly, slow SEC reporting process after the SEC required XBRL tagging for its 2010 Q2 10‑Q. The company had been using one vendor to EDGARize and another for XBRL, forcing Pinnacle’s reporting team to manage multiple versions and timelines, causing delays and higher fees.
Pinnacle moved to Wdesk, an integrated cloud platform that combines report development, EDGARizing, filing, and XBRL tagging, and canceled its other contracts. The change cut document versions from three to one, reduced change turnaround from hours to minutes, saved more than 40% in report development fees, and delivered a smooth transition with strong customer support.
