BBC Sounds launches a 10-part podcast series with Working Word

The customer, BBC Sounds, faced the challenge of creating a platform for underrepresented writers. Working Word was engaged to develop a podcast series hosted by Michael Sheen that would amplify these new voices and create a special event around the project.

Working Word created and produced the "Margins to Mainstream" podcast, which involved interviewing writers, scripting narratives, and recording with Michael Sheen. They also organized a live theater performance. The solution was highly successful, resulting in a 10-part series for BBC Sounds, a sold-out live event, and the subsequent sale of the podcast to BBC America for its first broadcast there.
