Alberta Motor Association Reduces Scheduling Process

Alberta Motor Association (AMA), a Canadian nonprofit membership organization serving Alberta and the Northwest Territories, needed to replace paper-based scheduling across multiple business units. With about 2,100 employees and a complex mix of services including membership, travel, insurance, vehicle registration, and roadside assistance, AMA struggled to create, update, and publish schedules efficiently. WorkforceHub, through its TimeSimplicity scheduling solution, was introduced to help eliminate paper calendars, spreadsheets, and other manual methods.

WorkforceHub implemented TimeSimplicity to automate scheduling, improve coverage visibility, reduce overtime, and integrate with AMA’s time and attendance processes. The results were dramatic: one team that previously needed one to two months to build a 42-month rolling schedule could now create a full-year schedule in less than one hour. AMA also gained online schedules, email and text shift alerts, better handling of time-off requests, and standardized scheduling practices across the organization, with 100% of business units using TimeSimplicity saying they would not return to the old process.
