How Streets Team Enterprises empowers the homeless with Workforce.com

Streets Team Enterprises is a nonprofit operating across 13 cities in California’s Bay Area that helps homeless people build job skills, gain full-time employment, and eventually find housing. To support this mission, the organization needed a simple, intuitive time and attendance system that employees with limited tech experience could use easily, while also improving onboarding, timesheet accuracy, and compliance with strict California break laws. They used Workforce.com’s Time and Attendance, Employee App, Shift Replacement, and Labor Compliance products.

Workforce.com implemented a cloud-based workforce management platform with a mobile app for employees to clock in and out and a desktop dashboard for managers to oversee timesheets and compliance in real time. The results included quick app adoption, accurate timesheet exports, improved accountability and employee engagement, and better break-law compliance. In the first three months, Workforce.com helped Streets Team Enterprises approve 250 timesheets, with 42 employees clocking in daily across 13 locations.
