Singapore General Hospital (SGH), the first and largest hospital in Singapore, needed a better way to manage time and attendance, staffing, and roster planning across 100 departments. With complex scheduling rules, thousands of shift variations, and constant last-minute changes, manual workforce planning was highly time-consuming and difficult to manage. SGH turned to Workforce Optimizer (WFO) to help address these workforce management challenges.
Workforce Optimizer implemented its AI-enabled workforce management solution to forecast labor demand, optimize shift scheduling, track attendance in real time, and dynamically redeploy staff as needed. The platform improved manager productivity by reducing time spent on scheduling, attendance tracking, and allowance calculations, while also helping SGH grant staff preferred shifts in more than 80% of cases, improving fairness and staff satisfaction.
