A Workday Case Study
Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is a Jacksonville-based nonprofit that serves veterans injured in post‑9/11 conflicts and has grown rapidly to support tens of thousands of warriors with about 500 employees in the U.S. and Germany. That rapid growth exposed the limits of paper-based HR and legacy systems: onboarding was manual, managers on the road needed mobile access to time sheets, payroll, org charts and performance data, and the organization needed a scalable, continuously updated HR platform.
WWP implemented Workday’s Human Capital Management, Payroll, and Time Tracking to deliver cloud-based, mobile access and real-time workforce dashboards. Adoption was high, productivity and HR engagement increased, administrative overhead fell, and the nonprofit gained global, mobile capabilities and continuous software updates—freeing staff to spend more time serving veterans and making better use of donor dollars.
