Wellesley makes academic planning a breeze for students

Wellesley College needed a better way to support academic planning for students, including declaring majors and minors, selecting advisors, and submitting academic plans. To replace a previous custom solution, the college turned to Workday Extend to build a more seamless experience inside Workday.

Workday helped Wellesley College launch a custom app for Major/Minor Programs and Plans that streamlined declaration review and approval. The first version was developed and tested in 30 days, and adoption has been strong across students, faculty, and the registrar’s office, while also increasing agility by retiring external systems and avoiding data exports outside Workday.
