TMX, the Canadian financial services company, needed to replace disparate legacy finance systems that were costly to maintain, slowed IT, and made it hard to integrate acquisitions and manage the business efficiently. TMX turned to Workday, using cloud-based finance and HR tools including Financial Management, Human Capital Management, and Workday Adaptive Planning.

Workday helped TMX consolidate systems, automate processes, and improve visibility and controls across finance and operations. The results included $640K in reduced maintenance and infrastructure costs, $553K in annual finance labor costs repurposed, and a shift in IT time from 20% maintenance to 80% innovation; TMX also cut acquisition integration time from 12 months to 4.5 months and reduced external consulting costs by $600K.
