A Workday Case Study
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary, a nonprofit serving more than 4,500 vulnerable young people, was facing high voluntary turnover and disengagement among frontline support workers. This was especially challenging because staff stability is critical to building trust and continuity for the children and families they support. The organization turned to Workday, using Peakon, to better understand employee needs and improve engagement.
Workday’s Peakon platform gave Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary real-time employee feedback, helping leaders respond quickly and create two-way conversations across the organization. By acting on insights such as access and mental health concerns, the nonprofit reduced voluntary turnover, doubled survey response rates, and increased its counselling budget to better support staff wellbeing.
