Case Study: Scoot achieves a mobile, future-proof HR system with Workday

A Workday Case Study

Preview of the Scoot Case Study

Scoot switches to an HR system that evolves with the speed of business

Scoot, the Singapore-based low-cost airline with about 2,200 employees across six Asia Pacific locations, faced a major HR challenge: a largely mobile, irregular-shift workforce (especially cabin crew) using a basic finance-focused system and manual Excel processes. The airline needed a cloud-based, mobile-accessible, self-service and highly configurable HR platform to automate absence, time-off, expenses, talent reviews and other unique business processes like FlexiCredits while supporting rapid growth.

Scoot selected Workday in 2013 and deployed HCM and Expenses in about three months, customizing features to fit its needs. The single sign-on, mobile self-service, configurable dashboards and talent modules consolidated time-off, compensation and reporting, increased employee engagement and productivity, simplified manager reporting and eased post-merger onboarding; ongoing Workday support and updates have allowed Scoot to continue automating HR processes and add Recruiting functionality.
