Sanofi is a global healthcare leader (110,000+ employees in 100+ countries) whose growth through hundreds of mergers and acquisitions left it with fragmented IT, multiple HR departments and poor visibility into employee data and talent—limiting internal mobility and making HR transformation difficult.

Sanofi selected Workday’s cloud HCM (core HR plus performance, talent and embedded analytics) to create a single system-of-record, initially deploying in North America, Germany, Switzerland and Austria (about 28,000 employees) and rolling out performance and talent management company-wide. The move delivered a unified HR function, mobile self-service, better analytics for planning, simplified legacy systems, reduced HR administrative burden, improved ability to leverage talent and a lower total cost of ownership.
