A Workday Case Study
Ferguson Enterprises, the largest U.S. distributor of plumbing supplies with 28,000 employees across 1,600 locations, was held back by fragmented legacy HR systems and limited reporting that made training delivery and lifecycle visibility manual, error-prone, and inefficient. Separate applicant tracking and learning management systems prevented clean reporting and the company couldn’t push or track training effectively.
Ferguson implemented Workday HCM and Workday Learning to consolidate employee data and unify learning with HR processes, migrating 1,200 course titles and 400,000 data rows to create a library of 2,000+ courses and launch nine learning campaigns. The integrated solution delivered role-based assignments, self-service learning, real-time customizable dashboards, improved lifecycle engagement and upskilling, and significant time savings and error reduction during migration.
