Preview of the Nestle Case Study

Nestle saves $3M annually with Workday

Nestlé, a global consumer goods giant, faced a significant challenge in its hiring process. The company was committed to a personal touch but its recruiting teams were spending 8,000 hours per month on the manual, administrative task of scheduling and rescheduling interviews. This immense burden prevented recruiters from acting as strategic talent advisors. To address this, Nestlé partnered with vendor Workday and implemented its product, the Workday Paradox Candidate Experience Agent.

The solution involved an AI agent named Olivia, which automates interview scheduling and answers candidate questions. Olivia interacts with candidates via text in 18 languages, schedules meetings based on recruiter calendar availability, and handles rescheduling instantly. As a result of implementing the Workday solution, Nestlé eliminated the 8,000 hours of monthly administrative work, saving $3 million annually, which is equivalent to the bandwidth of 32 full-time employees. The company also improved the candidate experience, increasing its net promoter score.
