ME Bank - Customer Case Study

ME is an Australian direct bank owned by 26 industry super funds, with about 1,600 employees and a mission to help Australians get ahead financially. Rapid growth left the bank relying on spreadsheets and multiple ad hoc systems for HR, producing manual, time-consuming processes, limited resource planning and little management insight—so ME needed a single, more sophisticated HR system to support scaling and better decision-making.

After a competitive RFP and proof-of-concept, ME deployed Workday HCM, Time Tracking and the Workday Cloud Platform across its offices in a nine-month rollout (July 2016–March 2017). The cloud-based, secure, integrated solution created a single central staff record, improved resource and project planning visibility, and dramatically reduced HR labour and processing time; ME continues to adopt more functionality to further capitalise on the system and better manage its growth.
