IJM, a global organization focused on improving business and people operations, needed a better way to connect employees with growth opportunities, match skills to projects, and increase agility across its workforce. Using Workday Human Capital Management, Recruiting, Skills Cloud, and especially Workday Talent Marketplace, the customer sought to build a culture of learning and continuous development while making internal talent more visible.
Workday implemented Talent Marketplace by using Skills Cloud data to match employees with gigs, learning content, and full-time roles, and rolled it out globally in under eight weeks. The result was faster staffing and stronger employee engagement: gigs increased 63% over eight months, 90% of gigs were fully staffed, and 272 gig roles were posted, helping teams keep work moving even during hiring slowdowns.
