How Booz Allen Hamilton is Turning its 2020 Vision into Reality

Booz Allen Hamilton is a global professional services firm of more than 24,000 engineers, scientists, technologists, and consultants that launched a growth initiative, Vision 2020, to double down on people investments. The firm faced talent challenges common to professional services—attracting, developing, and retaining specialists with hard-to-find skills and security clearances—while lacking visibility into employee skills and needing mobile access for a largely client‑site workforce.

To address this, Booz Allen implemented Workday Human Capital Management and Workday Recruiting to centralize talent data and enable the new “Find Worker” capability. Employees updated skill profiles, managers can search internal talent for assignments, and mobile access improved reach to staff on client sites. The result: clearer visibility into skill gaps and future needs, faster internal mobility and career development, and improved employee engagement through better manager‑employee interactions.
