Florida Atlantic University (one of Florida’s largest public universities with over 30,000 students and 4,000+ employees) faced complex regulatory reporting and decision-support challenges because financial, HR, procurement, and student data lived in multiple systems. Different business groups used disparate BI tools and only had partial views of the institution’s data, making reconciliation slow and limiting timely, accurate reporting for leaders.

FAU consolidated data into Workday as a single system of record and used Workday Prism Analytics to bring over 12 years of historical data together, enabling real-time and historical reporting, faster compliance, and self-service analytics. The change cut time to create new use cases to about four weeks, supported roughly 100 users across business groups, delivered major process efficiencies, and shifted finance from an administrative role to a strategic partner that delivers faster, more valuable collaboration and planning.
