Avon, a global direct seller of beauty products founded in 1886 with more than 6 million sales representatives and over 22,000 employees, faced fragmented HR technology, inconsistent data definitions, and manual processes that made it difficult to gather accurate, timely people data and maintain accountability.
By moving to the Workday global platform (HCM, Talent, Performance, Advanced Compensation), Avon consolidated 50+ systems into one, standardized and automated processes, and improved data integrity and visibility for org modeling, succession planning, and performance. Results included reducing managers' weekly people-administration time from 3 to 2 hours (saving $10M), improving the HR FTE ratio from 75:1 to 83:1 (reallocating 61 FTE / $2.9M), and enabling HR to focus on strategic initiatives while scaling more efficiently.
