Life Time Fitness, a rapidly growing fitness and lifestyle company with about 20,000 employees and nearly 100 clubs, faced fragmentation across roughly 60 disparate systems. HR was paper-intensive (about 55 sheets per hire), payroll took 48 hours to process, and finance lacked a “single version of the truth” for reporting and managing $2 billion in assets.

Life Time implemented Workday HCM (2007) and later Workday Payroll and Financial Management to create a unified SaaS platform. The change replaced dozens of legacy systems, cut payroll processing to under an hour, lowered per-check costs, eliminated millions of paper forms, improved fixed-asset and general ledger management, and gave managers timely data and scalable infrastructure for continued growth.
