Case Study: DATEV achieves simpler HR reporting and self-service compliance with Workday

A Workday Case Study

Preview of the DATEV Case Study

A self-built HR data warehouse closes and self-service reporting opens

DATEV needed a simpler way to manage HR data and meet Germany’s strict workforce reporting, insolvency insurance, and GDPR requirements. Its legacy self-built HR data warehouse made reporting complex and time-consuming, and employees had limited self-service access to their personal information. DATEV turned to Workday, using Workday Prism Analytics to unify diverse HR data.

With Workday, DATEV centralized relevant data, closed its old data warehouse, and enabled secure self-service reporting for employees. The solution made it easier to combine internal and external data, upload historical records quickly, and produce required reports with less manual processing. As a result, DATEV reduced complex data transformations, improved compliance, and gave workers self-service access to timesheets, payroll information, and other personal data.
