A Workday Adaptive Planning Case Study
The Salvation Army Australia, a nonprofit with 112,000 workers across 1,000 locations, faced major HR complexity after merging two territories into one national organization. With 26 different systems, paper-based workflows, and no single source of truth, it needed a way to standardize hire-to-retire processes and better manage a diverse workforce using Workday Adaptive Planning and related HR capabilities.
Workday Adaptive Planning helped The Salvation Army implement a single cloud-based HR system, automate manual processes, and integrate compliance checks and expense management. The results included a significantly reduced administrative burden, automated police and working-with-children checks, faster medical claims reimbursement, better reporting, and improved risk visibility; in the first four months alone, 22 of 88 planned benefits were realized.
