Stokomani is a French clearance-store chain founded in 1961 with over 120 stores and 3,500 employees. Rapid growth, high retail turnover and a decentralized structure strained legacy systems, creating inefficiencies and compliance challenges that made payroll and HR increasingly hard to manage.
By implementing Workday’s HCM and Payroll, Stokomani automated manual data entry, gained real-time payroll processing and centralized HR/payroll tasks, and improved manager engagement and flexibility. Results included cutting manual payroll data entry from 4–5 days to 1 day, reducing payroll close to about 1 hour (from half a day), supporting 500+ hires in 2018–2019, and seamless compliance with France’s tax-withholding changes.
