Case Study: Scoot achieves greater HR flexibility and self-service with Workday Adaptive Planning

A Workday Adaptive Planning Case Study

Preview of the Scoot Case Study

Scoot switches to an HR system that evolves with the speed of business

Scoot, the low-cost arm of Singapore Airlines Group, needed an HR system that could support a mobile workforce, irregular cabin crew schedules, and rapid growth across 6 Asia-Pacific locations. Its old setup relied on manual Excel processes and basic employee data storage, making self-service, mobility, and flexible HR management difficult. Scoot chose Workday Adaptive Planning’s Workday platform, including HCM, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Time and Attendance, and related tools, to better fit its unique business model.

Workday Adaptive Planning implemented a cloud-based, highly configurable HR solution with self-service, single sign-on, and mobile access, helping Scoot manage leave, absence, compensation, performance, and talent processes in one system. The results included faster, more efficient HR operations, better employee and manager adoption, and reduced manual work, with deployment of Workday HCM and Expenses taking about three months. Workday Adaptive Planning also customized functionality for Scoot’s FlexiCredits and helped resolve a salary-increment issue quickly, showing measurable gains in agility and support for business growth.
