A Workday Adaptive Planning Case Study
RATP Dev, a multimodal transportation company and subsidiary of RATP Group, serves more than 1.5 billion passengers across 14 countries and operates complex bus, rail, and dial‑a‑ride networks. Its finance team struggled with time‑consuming, error‑prone budgeting and forecasting processes built on manual spreadsheets, which made consolidation difficult, slowed decision cycles, and prevented alignment behind key financial and nonfinancial KPIs.
Working with partner CohnReznick, RATP Dev implemented Workday Adaptive Planning to centralize planning and reporting. The change cut forecasting time by 50% (reducing the budgeting period from eight weeks to four), enabled accurate ad‑hoc and what‑if reporting, handled growth and hierarchy changes, and aligned finance, operations, and executives around KPIs such as safety and on‑time performance.
