The Association for Financial Professionals (AFP), a nonprofit representing 16,000 treasury and finance professionals, relied on a manual, spreadsheet-driven planning process—127 linked spreadsheets with 176,000 linked cells and no real-time forecasting—which made budgeting, forecasting and reporting error-prone and extremely time-consuming.

AFP implemented the Adaptive Insights Business Planning Cloud in weeks to automate workflow, multi-entity consolidation and reporting, improve collaboration, and eliminate version-control issues. The change saved the finance team more than five months (over 20 weeks) annually, reduced the monthly close by 10 hours, accelerated full financial statement forecasting by a month, and significantly cut time spent preparing executive and board presentations.
