Case Study: Ordnance Survey achieves data-driven growth and streamlined processes with Workday Adaptive Planning

A Workday Adaptive Planning Case Study

Preview of the Ordnance Survey Case Study

How Workday’s “great user experience” is enabling Great Britain’s national mapping service to prepare for a future of growth and change

Ordnance Survey, Great Britain’s national mapping service, needed to modernize outdated back-office systems that included six separate tools for learning, expenses, time tracking, and other HR processes. The lack of integration made the user experience poor and made it difficult to gain meaningful insight from people data, prompting the organization to look for a more streamlined, data-driven approach with Workday Adaptive Planning.

Workday Adaptive Planning was selected as the preferred solution, replacing multiple disconnected sources with a single platform and enabling employees to work in one place. The implementation improved usability, streamlined processes, and provided more accurate people data to support growth plans; the new system was signed in 2019 with a planned go-live in April 2020.
