Hitachi, a diversified global enterprise, wanted to build a unified HR strategy and support a growth mindset across its worldwide organization. Working with Workday Adaptive Planning, Hitachi needed a scalable digital talent platform to manage end-to-end talent processes across a large and complex group of companies.

Workday Adaptive Planning helped Hitachi expand its HR platform and evolve it with a global recruitment website, talent management improvements, expense reimbursement, learning systems, user experience optimization, and a data-quality program. The results were significant: usage grew from 3,000 users at launch to 42,000 within a year, and now more than 270,000 employees across 550 companies in 68 countries use the platform.
