Green innovation company achieves a more sustainable way to plan

Hedeselskabet, a Danish green innovation company, needed a better way to manage complex planning, consolidation, and reporting across 30 business lines in 15 countries. Its finance team was doing monthly and yearly consolidation manually in spreadsheets, pulling data from 10 ERPs, which made reporting slow and error-prone. The company used Workday Adaptive Planning to simplify financial planning and consolidation.

Workday Adaptive Planning, combined with one ERP and a business intelligence tool, created a single source of truth and automated key tasks like currency conversion and data analysis for different reporting needs. As a result, Hedeselskabet cut month-end close by three days and shortened year-end close by more than a week, while also making forecasting, KPI tracking, and scenario planning faster and more flexible.
