Hardscape, founded in 1993, supplies paving and hard landscaping products for major UK projects such as Kings Cross Station and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. Rapid growth exposed weaknesses in how the company used its existing Workbooks CRM — it was being used only for basic job references — so management sought greater rigour in reporting, customer analysis and marketing to take the business to the next level.
After attending Workbooks administrator training and commissioning bespoke development, Hardscape integrated Workbooks with Sage and Excel, added tailored complaint logging and marketing flags, and refined reporting. The result was vastly improved, drill‑down business reports and customer insight that revealed stronger competitive conversion rates, maximised marketing opportunities and empowered a 16‑person sales team to make more informed, streamlined decisions.
