VMware, a global cloud and virtualization leader with 37,000+ employees, faced the challenge of scaling strategy and keeping a highly distributed, hybrid workforce aligned and included after shifting to widespread remote/hybrid work. Leaders needed a consistent way to connect people, reduce proximity bias, and make priorities and progress visible across locations and teams.

To solve this, VMware adopted WorkBoard and company-wide OKRs beginning in 2022 (CEO-sponsored, VP-led), giving every colleague access and building a community of 200+ OKR coaches.
