World Business Lenders, a New York–based provider of working capital to small businesses, faced a common scaling challenge: they’d built core underwriting and loan-processing workflows in QuickBase but needed a dedicated CRM for their growing sales team. The priority was to add Salesforce without disrupting the existing QuickBase systems, eliminate manual data re-entry and duplicate records, and keep both front- and middle-office workflows tightly synchronized.
Working with West Monroe, WBL implemented Workato to connect Salesforce and QuickBase through three key recipes—one-time opportunity transfer from Salesforce to QuickBase, bi-directional record ID sync to prevent duplicates, and read-only QuickBase data surfaced in Salesforce. The near real-time integration exposed thousands of custom fields, removed manual entry, delivered a unified 360° applicant view, and saved hundreds of agent hours weekly across 150 agents, while enabling easier future integrations with accounting and back-office systems.
