Box, a leading content management and collaboration platform, launched a Platform Partner Program that attracted a large number of applicants. Onboarding was manual and time-consuming—relying on Marketo, Salesforce and Box for forms, CRM updates, folder creation and communication—so the Box team needed a scalable way to automate partner management and free up time for higher-value interactions.
Using Workato, Box automated the end-to-end flow (Marketo → Salesforce → Box): applications move into Salesforce, triage triggers automated emails, and accepted partners get a Box folder and collaborator access. The solution reduced onboarding time from about five hours to under one, eliminated repetitive admin work, and allowed the team to focus on partner enablement and go-to-market activities.
