Innovating Through AI and SEO at EssilorLuxottica

EssilorLuxottica, a global eyewear and vision-care company, needed to improve SEO across multiple e-commerce websites while managing large product datasets, changing stock availability, and fast-moving search and AI trends. Working with WordLift, the company aimed to bring innovation into SEO workflows and support its in-house team with safer use of generative AI for tasks like structured data, knowledge graph creation, and product content refinement.

WordLift implemented an eyewear ontology, a product knowledge graph, dynamic internal links, AI-generated FAQs, and content generation at scale using LLMs and the knowledge graph. The results included a 16% increase in clicks per website over the last three months versus the prior year, a 30% lift in clicks and 20% higher average position on a US retailer site, a 22% increase in clicks on lifted PLPs with generated Q&A and FAQ markup, and +5.4% clicks in a July-to-September year-over-year content test.
