COVID-19 Valrhona uses A-Map to show solidarity and support to its customers

The gourmet chocolate brand Valrhona faced the challenge of supporting its network of artisan chocolatiers during the COVID-19 lockdowns, specifically around the crucial Easter holiday period. The goal was to quickly create a digital solution to help these small businesses maintain visibility and sales by connecting them with local customers. To achieve this, Valrhona partnered with vendor Woosmap.

Woosmap implemented its Store Locator Widget to create "A-Map," an interactive tool that allowed consumers to find local artisan chocolatiers. The solution was deployed in just three days and later expanded internationally. The results were significant, with an estimated 5-10% of map users visiting an artisan, many of whom were new customers. Each artisan's page was viewed an average of eight times, directly driving in-store traffic and sales during a critical time.
