The global pharmaceutical company Pfizer required a new manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia to comply with a new local production law and to access the country's large market. Partnering with Wood, Pfizer needed a solution to produce and package its pharmaceuticals within the country.

Wood provided a full suite of multidisciplinary services, from initial design through to final commissioning. This solution included extensive design-to-cost exercises that optimized the project budget. The result was a $50M facility that produces 18 million packs of medicine annually, created jobs with 50% Saudi national employment, and ensured a local supply of high-quality medications.
