A Wood Mackenzie Case Study
Wood Mackenzie worked with Oman's Public Authority for Mining to help maximise the value of the country’s mining sector while supporting sustainable development and economic diversification. As part of a consortium led by SRK and including Mayer Brown, the customer needed a long-term strategy for Oman’s mining industry that could improve commercial attractiveness and identify future growth opportunities.
Wood Mackenzie served as the Market and Commercial Advisory lead, assessing logistics, downstream issues, international supply and demand, and sector opportunities to shape a 10-year mining strategy. The work helped deliver the strategy on time and on budget, with recommendations to improve the regulatory and operating environment, attract local and foreign investment, and increase socio-economic value through SMEs and local community businesses.
