A WooCommerce Case Study
Tiny Wood Stove started as Nick Peterson’s livinlightly.com blog about tiny living and a single popular post on wood stoves. The challenge was turning that organic traffic into a sustainable business in an underserved niche: few small-space stoves and compatible parts existed, and Nick needed a way to validate demand and sell products while remaining nomadic and capital-constrained.
They launched tinywoodstove.com, used analytics to validate demand, and ran a WooCommerce pre-sale to fund inventory. From there they added hard-to-find pipes, developed their own Dwarf stove line, and leveraged WordPress, SEO, content, and a remote team of tiny-living support staff. Rapid pre-sales, steady organic traffic, and repeat customers turned the project from a blog experiment into a profitable, growing company diversifying into other tiny-living products.
