SHULTZILLA - Customer Case Study

JAM Creative founders Jeremy and Aimee Miller run SHULTZILLA, a New Orleans–inspired t‑shirt shop. After launching in 2009 with a problematic WordPress e‑commerce plugin that caused ordering and backend failures, they needed an inexpensive, easy‑to‑manage online store with reliable support and a modern, mobile‑friendly design—ready by a September 1, 2012 deadline.

They rebuilt the site on WooCommerce using the Buro theme as a starting point, applied a mobile‑first responsive design across multiple breakpoints, produced 40 mockups before development, and added custom product, checkout and marketing features (gallery, variation swatches, wishlist, viral coupon, shipping and payment integrations). The relaunch drove strong results: first‑month visits increased 202% year‑over‑year and 58% month‑over‑month, bounce rate dropped about 89%, pageviews rose dramatically (416.7% YoY, 249.4% MoM), and mobile traffic grew significantly.
