Pootlepress is a UK WordPress design, development and training specialist founded by Jamie Marsland that works with a diverse range of clients—from large organisations like Yell and UK police forces to small businesses and charities. Their customers repeatedly asked for control over content and design without paying for developer changes, and Pootlepress needed a faster, more affordable way to deliver professional sites.

They used the Canvas framework and WooFramework to enable non-developers to customise sites and developers to extend them, and launched WordPress Xpress to build sites in a single day using a library of child themes. The approach has trained over 250 customers in six months, delivered rapid, high-quality builds that clients love for their immediacy, and proven successful enough that Pootlepress plans to expand the methodology.
