Mariener Eyewear is a Dutch startup founded in 2012 by Marien Klootwijk to fill a gap in affordable, high-performance sunglasses. Facing a crowded accessories market and tight bootstrap budget, the company needed a low-cost, scalable online store, strong local presence in the Netherlands, and ways to build trust and stand out from larger competitors.
