Joco Cups - Customer Case Study

Joco Cups is a small startup founded by two friends who designed a high-end, sustainable glass reusable coffee cup to stand out in a market dominated by cheap plastic alternatives. They needed a polished ecommerce presence with strong branding and advanced product functionality—most notably multiple images per product variation—while also facing practical challenges like global shipping rules, PayPal setup, QuickBooks integration, SSL security and a brief hacker incident.

The team used a custom WooCommerce build to bring the designer’s branding to life, leveraging Advanced Custom Fields for flexible content, Gravity Forms for contact, jQuery Masonry and WooDojo for the blog and social feeds, and a Variation Swatches and Photos extension (packaged and released publicly) to handle product variation images. Table-rate shipping and other plugins addressed complex shipping needs, and although PayPal, QuickBooks syncing, SSL and traffic growth remain work in progress, initial orders and conversion rates have been positive.
