Bob Dunn (BobWP) is a long‑time WordPress trainer who created the Build Your WordPress Blog online class to help people build and grow self‑hosted blogs. His challenge was assembling a reliable, user‑friendly stack that would handle course delivery, gated access, theme compatibility and a simple forum—while avoiding heavy custom coding or a bulky membership plugin—and dealing with practical issues like lesson ordering and admin preview access.

He launched a separate site using the Definition theme with Sensei for courses, WooCommerce to control purchases and lesson access, WooSidebars for layout flexibility and bbPress for forums.
