Bang On Books creates hand-illustrated, personalized adventure books that make a child the story’s hero. Founded by Simon and Hannah in 2018, the UK-based team writes, prints and ships each book, but their online store suffered from poor site speed, low-quality development and UX/UI problems until in-house developer Jonathan Young took over and set out to overhaul the site.

Jonathan rebuilt the storefront on a fully customized WooCommerce/WordPress theme, integrated a secure custom book‑generator API and plugin, and implemented Stripe payments with Royal Mail/DHL shipping. The result: a faster, maintainable site with a seamless ordering path, global sales and many positive reviews, supported by targeted Facebook/Instagram and blogger/affiliate marketing.
