A WooCommerce Case Study
DigitalMind, a Swiss web development agency, was asked by Arc’teryx to build an online registration and sales platform for the Arc’teryx Alpine Academy in Chamonix. The prior system suffered server overloads during simultaneous sign-ups, awkward refund handling and a confusing Excel-based team management process. The new solution had to be responsive, multilingual (three languages), low-cost and delivered on a very tight timeline.
DigitalMind deployed a WooCommerce store using the Peddlar theme and completed the site in about a week, adding custom checkout fields and addressing WPML multilingual/email and reporting quirks. The result: the site handled peak load smoothly (about 300 orders in two hours), most courses sold out within a day, and the client gained full, code-free control of the shop and content.
