A Wooclap Case Study
The customer, Duke University, through Professor Colin Yuckman, sought to boost student engagement and inclusivity in its digital and in-person learning environments. The challenge was to implement a versatile technological tool that could foster active learning beyond traditional methods. The vendor, Wooclap, provided its interactive platform to address this need.
The solution implemented by Wooclap offered over 20 question types for live and self-paced engagement, including polls, quizzes, and the "Find on Image" feature. This allowed for low-stakes assessments, anonymous feedback, and effective crowdsourcing of ideas. The results included increased student participation, particularly from those less comfortable speaking aloud, and higher engagement levels in online settings where distractions are prevalent. Professor Yuckman found Wooclap to be a user-friendly tool in the "Goldilocks zone," offering robust functionality without overwhelming complexity.
