World’s Largest Resort Relies on Wonderware Solution for Non-Stop Power

The Venetian and Palazzo Resort Hotels & Casino, the world’s largest resort (67 acres, ~14 million sq ft), needed to guarantee uninterrupted electrical power across 66 substations and 62 PLCs to avoid guest disruption and revenue loss. To meet goals for 24/7/365 redundancy, centralized monitoring, real‑time troubleshooting and sustainability, the resort engaged Wonderware West and deployed Wonderware software including InTouch HMI, Historian and System Platform with OMI.

Wonderware West implemented a centralized SCADA and historian-based facilities and power management solution that integrates all substations and PLCs for real‑time monitoring, automated load shedding, transformer failover and generator supervision. The Wonderware West solution enabled proactive fault detection, reduced on-site trips and response time, delivered continuous power protection and operational cost savings, and supported the resort’s green and capacity‑planning objectives.
